5 Jamaican Athletes Sign Endorsement Deals With Chinese Sportswear Company 361 Degrees

Five Jamaican athletes have signed endorsement deals with Chinese sportswear company, 361 Degrees. The athletes are former World 110 m hurdles champion Brigitte Foster-Hylton, sprinters Michael Frater and Kimmari Roach, and upcoming hurdlers Natasha Ruddock and Josef Robertson. The fast-growing company is reportedly the third largest sports and apparel company in China, and apparently seeking to raise its international profile via track and field.

Jamaican Men Fail To Qualify For 400 Metres Hurdles Finals In Daegu

All the Jamaican men – Josef Robertson, Isa Phillips and Leford Green – failed to qualify for the finals of the 400M hurdles event at the 2011 World Championships in Daegu, South Korea, earlier today. Phillips and Green finished fourth in their heats with times of 49.16 seconds and 49.29  respectively, while Robertson finished last in his heat, with a time of 50.39 seconds.
