Jamaicans Line Up For Shanghai Diamond League

Several Jamaicans are set to compete in tomorrow’s 2nd Diamond League meet for the 2012 season. Tomorrow’s event is in Shanghai (China), and below we’ve detailed the confirmed list of Jamaicans who will be competing, sorted by event:

Jamaicans at the 2012 Daegu World Challenge Meeting – Results

Several Jamaicans participated in the Daegu IAAF World Challenge Meet which took place in South Korea earlier today. Here are some results:

Sprinter Aleen Bailey, ran a time of 11.34 seconds in the women’s 100m race, to finish second behind American, Carmelita Jeter. Just prior to that, Bailey posted a time of 23.15 seconds in the women’s 200m event, to finish third behind LeShaunte Moore (22.71) and ChaRonda Williams (22.82).

Brigitte Foster-Hylton, who is still on the ‘comeback trail’, managed a time of 13.00 seconds to finish third in the women’s 100m hurdles race behind the American pair of Dawn Harper (12.65) and Kellie Wells (12.66).

Jacques Harvey, running in the men’s 100m race, finished third with a time of 10.16 seconds, behind Justin Gatlin (9.93) and Mike Rodgers (10.06).

In the men’s 110m hurdles race, Dwight Thomas finished fourth with a time of 13.63 seconds, behind Aries Merritt (13.21), David Oliver (13.22), and Jason Richardson (13.34).
